Frequently asked questions

How are people selected?

This first group is about more than content — it’s about community. We’re selecting 50 makers who feel aligned with why Diddit exists: when life feels heavy, making something with your hands can be a small way back to yourself. So, we’ll prioritise applicants who genuinely want what Diddit was created for: a calm, screen-free reset and a little creative escape that fits into real life.

Two years ago, Diddit’s founder Annie had a life wake-up call following a cancer diagnosis. It was the moment she realised she needed something beyond work — something hands-on, grounding, and joyful. That’s the heart of Diddit, and it’s who we’re building this for.

If that resonates, tell us in your application.

Who can apply?

Right now, we're looking for UK residents aged 18+. Our kits and experiences are designed for adults who want an escape or need an excuse to find themselves again by trying a new hobby or grabbing a bit of time to themselves. Our kits are not suitable for children.
Overseas customers are welcome to apply, and we will contact you again once we have launched our delivery services outside the UK.

Do I need to be an influencer or have a big following?

Absolutely not! We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable makers who are simply happy to communicate feedback with us honestly, and help provide us with some content to help share the word to others. That could be with photos, feedback directly to us on whatsapp or email, quotes we can use in our marketing material or posts we can share and of your experience.

Do I have to post publicly?

Ideally, yes.  For us, it's not about whether you have 50 or 50,000 followers, it's simply a great way of being able to show others your proudest results from Diddit out in the real world!

But, if social media is not your thing, we absolutely will not hold this against you (it's not really our thing either!) If you're happy to share a few pics we could use, or maybe a short quote we can put your name to, that would be great.
